Overview
Carter & Spencer Group, a leading Queensland-based supplier of fresh produce, engaged Egghead Creative to design a unique label design for their fresh pineapple and ginger punnet exports in celebration of the Year of the Snake. The goal was to create a visually striking yet culturally authentic design that resonated with international consumers during the Lunar New Year period.
Design brief
The custom emblem needed to:
Incorporate recognisable Lunar New Year elements while maintaining consistency with the Spencer Ranch brand identity.
Ensure the custom snake emblem was distinct and memorable across different cultural markets.
Present two unique colour variations that resonated with the wider consumer demographic via the packaging and product labels for both ginger and pineapple.
Design approach
Egghead Creative developed a custom snake emblem and matching product label template in two distinct colourways, ensuring visual harmony with traditional Lunar New Year aesthetics. The final designs featured:
Red and gold palettes symbolising prosperity and luck.
Bold typography and structured layouts aligning with the existing Spencer Ranch premium branding.
Pineapple and ginger imagery seamlessly integrated with the festive theme to enhance product recognition.
Localised tagline ensuring accessibility for international consumers.
Outcomes
The packaging made a strong impression in export markets, fitting right into Lunar New Year celebrations. The custom snake emblem and festive colour palette helped Carter & Spencer Group’s products stand out, reinforcing their presence during a high-sales season.
