Wattlebird Therapy

Logo design, brand visual identity, website design

Overview

Wattlebird Therapy, a trauma-informed therapeutic service based in Sydney’s south west, sought a distinct visual identity that aligned with the calming and restorative nature of their practice. Egghead Creative was engaged to craft a unique logo and matching website design that would both complement the aesthetic of their physical practice space while reflecting their core visual themes of warmth, safety, and recovery.

Design brief

With the physical space yet to be designed, Wattlebird Therapy sought a logo that would not only represent their trauma-informed approach but also serve as a foundational element for the interior aesthetic.

The challenge was to craft a brand identity that would shape the visual atmosphere of their practice: ensuring a cohesive, inviting, and therapeutic environment from the very beginning, that could grow and develop in an organic and genuine way.

Design approach

Logo design: Drawing inspiration from native Australian flora and the intricate, secure nesting patterns of red wattlebirds, a logo was created that embodied a natural sense of warmth and safety.

Website design: The website was structured to prioritise accessibility and ease of navigation, using a colour palette inspired by native flora and fauna. The colour palette is reflected inside the physical practice space, extending a consistent, professional and holistic environment.

Collaboration: Through iterative feedback, the design deliverables were adjusted and finalised to align with the client’s vision.

Final delivery

The final branding and website created a seamless experience for both in-person and digital interactions: the logo has become an easily identifiable emblem of their practice across digital and printed materials, fostering trust with new clients.

The website’s intuitive design improved user experience, ensuring easy access to information on the practice and their services, resources and contact information.
